Board of Assessors
TAX BILLS HAVE BEEN ISSUED
Fiscal year 2023 Real Estate and Personal Property Tax Bills were issued on November 15, 2022 with the first half payment due by December 14, 2022.
If your opinion of the value of your property differs from the assessed value that appears on your bill, you may decide to file for an abatement.
The abatement application must be filed in the Assessor’s Office or postmarked, properly addressed to the Assessors, no later than the due date of the first half of the tax bill. This filing deadline is mandated by state law and the Assessors have no authority to grant an extension. The abatement application is available by clicking the Forms/Documents link.
If you do file an abatement, part of the abatement process will include a representative of the Board of Assessors performing an inspection of the property, both inside and outside, to confirm the information we have on your Property Record Card is accurate.
